Models and photo retouching on Eva's Intimates
We offer lingerie in XS to 7XL and bras in A to S-cup, the choice of models has been adapted to this. Quite frequently we get comments such as "the photos are obviously retouched" and that "the model can't possibly look like that in reality". About bras a common comment is "breasts that big don't exist".
Don't be too quick to judge and make assumptions. Be open minded.
What do the models look like in reality?
Our models exist. They are real women. They have as curvy bodies and as big bust size as shown in the photos. Here are some examples of product images and how the models look in real life:
It is possible that our product images are perceived as less realistic. Perhaps the reason is that, historically, leaner models have been more common in the media. From this perspective, our models may be seen as non-traditional, but that does not mean that they are not real. We welcome a variety of models. After all, we women are not identical. We gladly assume the role of being a leader in including curvier models.
We are not for "curvier women". We are for women of all sizes and shapes. The choice of model always depends on the product presented. Of course, products for leaner women are presented by leaner models. However, it is the curvier and more busty models that get the most negatively charged comments.
If someone does not look like ourselves or if someone has a body that we have not seen before does not mean that it does not exist. The vast majority of people you have met were fully dressed, they were not wearing lingerie.
Body shape and fit are not retouched
Some parts of the images must be kept real in order to get a true sense of how the product actually fit on the body. It would be very counterproductive if we changed body shape and fit. We have no interest in selling products that are completely different in reality. We would get a lot of returns and lose most of our clients.
Some photo retouching is done
The retouching that is done concerns mainly shadows, usually to brighten up certain parts. Sometimes the skin is smoothed out or the model gets "digital makeup" (lipstick, eyeshadow etc). The background is almost always removed digitally. In addition to this, we sometimes digitally remove visible nipples, this is necessary to use images on social media.
Finally, we want to remind you that we sell the garments in the pictures, not the women. The woman in the picture is there to showcase the product.
